Electronics components are fragile by nature. A reversed polarity, a static discharge, or an accidental short can destroy a part instantly — and the damage often isn’t visible. Because of this, we cannot accept returns on components, modules, microcontrollers, or kits once they have been handled or powered, and we make no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.
This isn’t fine print — it’s the reality of working with electronics, and we think you deserve a straight answer rather than a policy that sounds generous but isn’t.
That said, we want you to succeed with your project. If something arrives dead, damaged in shipping, or clearly not what you ordered, contact us within 14 days and we’ll make it right — replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
What we can help with:
- Items that are dead on arrival (DOA)
- Wrong item shipped
- Shipping damage (please photograph the packaging)
What we can’t help with:
- Components damaged during use (overvoltage, reverse polarity, ESD, soldering damage, etc.)
- Change of mind or compatibility issues discovered after purchase
- Items without proof of purchase
To start a claim, email support@circuitguy.ca with your order number and a brief description of the issue. We’ll respond within 2 business days.
